3G SAF Singapore Armed Forces

Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean spoke at the Committee of Supply Debate in Parliament today. In his statement, he made an assessment of the trends in our security environment and the active roles we have taken to enhance maritime security. He also spoke about the investments made to build up a defence force that can deter aggression and our active pursual of defence diplomacy. Mr Teo also gave an update on the progress of the 3rd Generation SAF transformation efforts and reiterated that training has to be tough and realistic and conducted in strict accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
